Our parish festival is coming soon. The festival is Saturday, July 30th, 11 am- 4 pm in St. Mary’s Cathedral church parking lot in Grand Island.
Our theme is Celebrating Diversity and we are welcoming all cultures to the festival.
Entertainment: Spanish band for an hour, and a Polka band for an hour with DJ in between.
Dancing horses. Firetruck (1 hour) Contest of Mary and Joseph look alike.
Carnival with kids’ games, bounce house, Cakewalk, Spanish Bingo, and pony rides.
Some vendors will be selling their wares at the festival.
For our dunk tank, we have Fr. Canela and Deacon Frank, Public Defender: Gerry Piccolo, Hugo Castellanos, Police Chief Falldorf, Mr. Covarrubias – Barr Principal, Dan Naranjo. Funeral Director of All Faith Funeral Home and Policeman Jason Urbanski and GICC Asst principal Mr. Phou Manivong and maybe one more. Only half an hour in the dunk tank.
Food: Pupusas, tamales, tacos, carne asada with beans and rice, Spanish corn on the cob, hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, and popcorn and drinks.
We will also be selling raffles for 8 items to give away.
